What hooked me on this fandom was the combination of great characterisation, the complicated plot line and the opportunity to explore those depths in detail.
In particular I was drawn to Quatre and Trowa and their relationship. Hence the reason a lot of the stories here are 3x4 centric, although Duo, Heero and Wufei will not be neglected, as I like to dabble in other alternate (often Quatre centric) pairings too *smiles sweetly at the other pilots. So if you thought you were er...safe...guys, think again.
For some reason 3x4 stories within Gundam Wing fandom have a reputation of being sweet, fluffy and angst free. If those are the type of fics you're looking for, I'll warn you now, you won't find them here. Yes, the boys will still have their share of sap and romance, but they'll have to work for it. Lemon and the like comes with a price - I'm a firm believer in realism, and this will be reflected in the fics.
This section of the site, for those not familiar with Gundam Wing fandom, contains yaoi. In non-anime terms that means slash. If you feel uncomfortable reading about two guys in a sexual relationship I suggest you hit the back button now or go elsewhere.

Sick of OOC portrayals of Quatre as weak, innocent and angelic? We at the SDQB want to promote Quatre as the strong but sensitive guy he is. Similiarily we want to avoid the equally OOC portrayals of 'evil ZERO system Q'. It is possible to be strong, but still caring.

Echoes of the Rising Sun is an alternate universe series set in Germany in World War Two. Doktor Quatre Winner, a scientist working on the German atomic bomb project, begins to doubt that what he is doing is really for the good of the Fatherland, or mankind in general. Enter an undercover operative for the Allies and the team sent in to deal with the situation. (AU, drama, action, romance, angst, character death, LEMON. Eventual pairings - 3x4, 1x2, 5xS, plus reference to past 2xH, 5xM )
Outlasting Time is a canon based series centering around Quatre and Trowa and spanning twenty five years and beyond. It begins with the story, 'Counterpoint'. ( Romance, angst, drama, action, humour, LEMON. Eventual pairings - 3x4, 1x2, 5xOC, plus reference to 2+4, and OCXOC )
Domino is an AU canon based series. What if Quatre had made a different decision and not become Sandrock's pilot? Surely the series wouldn't have been that different to the version we've already seen. Or would it? ( Drama, action, romance, angst, mechanical violence. Eventual pairings - 3x4, 1x2 )
Triunity is another canon based series. Main pairings will be 3x4, 1xR and 2x5. This arc is co written/plotted with Sakura but even though we're partners in crime on this one, the initial concept is her fault :) We're hoping to cover a wide range of genres, including romance, angst, drama, action, humour and *Sakura glares and pokes*...yeah okay, LEMON.
The Protean Wings page is home to the stories which don't fall into any of the above arcs. In other words an excuse to annoy the Gundam boys still further in other universes and timelines.
