End of Innocence

Disclaimer: I don't own Kevin Wilson, he is the sole property of Alex MacDonald and will tell you so if you ask. Alex is owned by Kevin but created by Anne so please ask before borrowing him.

Thanks to Anne who not only let me play in her sandbox, but helped me build a real cool castle.

It didn't go well, but then Kevin never thought it would. He loved Alex with all that he was, but it was times like this when it was brought home with painful clarity just how young and naive his partner was.

Mrs. MacDonald had accepted that Alex was a Tomorrow Person without batting an eyelash. After all that wasn't something he could control. Apparently being gay was something she though he could. She seemed convinced that Kevin had somehow lured her sweet baby boy into his perverted and sinful lifestyle and nothing Alex said seemed to make a damn bit of difference. It was a good thing she didn't know about the bond. The way they were now connected telepathically for life.

Jamie was thrilled and said so much to his mother's displeasure. Neither the approval of her golden boy or the silent support of her husband made a dent in the outrage expressed. Her son was damn to an eternity in hell and by god she would not stand for it. It was Alex's reminder that he was over eighteen and he would be moving in with Kevin whether she approved or not that finally silenced her.

Kevin flexed his fingers, wincing slightly at the twinge of pain, as he watched Alex pace and rant about love, acceptance and his mother being too bloody Catholic. It was funny, but moments like this were when the family resemblance was the strongest. They were both very protective of the people they loved and it showed.

He sighed, pushing away his guilt, he'd hoped things would be different for Alex than they had been for him. Hoped, but with not much faith. He loved Alex and was over the moon that those feelings were returned, but he couldn't stop thinking that some of the innocence Alex had lost as a result had nothing to do with what they'd gotten up to in the bedroom.
